Biography
During 2010, as chillwave entered widespread usage, Dan Lopatin of Oneohtrix Point Never and Joel Ford of Tigercity joined forces in Brooklyn to establish the dream pop duo Games, whose sound evoked earlier eras. The childhood friends cut the 7” single “Everything Is Working” for Hippos in Tanks that August. After finishing their debut EP, That We Can Play, Ford and Lopatin had to adopt a new name for legal reasons in the winter of 2010 and chose the straightforward Ford & Lopatin. The album Channel Pressure appeared the following year.
