Biography
Gearwhore serves as the alter ego for DJ and recording engineer Brian Natonski, a name drawn directly from his fixation on premium audio gear. He started out engineering sessions at Chicago Trax Studio, then relocated to Orange County where he launched the Fatal Data label together with his partner Shaheen. Natonski put out multiple singles under the Gearwhore alias along with other monikers and also produced Skylab 2000's "Auburn." Gearwhore secured a contract with Astralwerks in 1997, releasing The Passion EP that same year ahead of the full-length debut Drive in 1998.
