Biography
Guillotina, a Latin rock outfit, launched their career via an eponymous debut album cut under Jack Endino’s production in 1993 and issued the next year. While the band launched European tours they also released the single “Todo Sigue Igual,” which quickly led to shows at Los Angeles’ Palace and Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes. Rock Mata Pop was tracked in 1997, delivering Guillotina’s second hit single, “Aquí.” After serving as an opener for Def Leppard, the Mexican ensemble appeared on el Tri’s tribute collection Tri…Buto, contributing their take on “Pobres los Niños.” The group then released Mientras el Resto Sigue in 1998. Erre O Ce Ka was captured between December 1999 and April 2000 and contained the track “Sin Saber.”
