Biography
Born in 1976 in Sykkylven, Norway, Hilde Louise Asbjornsen built her career as a jazz and cabaret vocalist whose phrasing recalls the poised delivery of Billie Holiday and June Christy. Her first album, Eleven Nights and Two Early Mornings, appeared in 2004. Birdie Blues arrived the following year. In 2006 she issued No Vil Eg Vake Med Deg as a tribute to iconic Swedish vocalist Monica Zetterlund.
