Biography
After departing Agent Steel in 1986, guitarist Kurt Colfelt altered the spelling of his surname to Kilfelt and assembled the lineup of Holy Terror, featuring vocalist Keith Deen, second guitarist Mike Alvord, bassist Floyd Flanary, and drummer Joe Mitchell. The group committed fully to the thrash metal style then centered in the Bay Area, rejecting the mixed approach that Agent Steel had followed, and delivered two albums on Music for Nations: Terror and Submission in 1987 followed by Mind Wars in 1988. Neither effort separated Holy Terror from the crowded field of similar bands, so the remaining members relocated to Seattle in 1989 after Deen and Alvord departed; the band continued there for a period before adopting the name Shark Chum and redirecting its focus to punk rock.
