Ignorance

Formed in Nottingham, England, the heavy metal outfit Ignorance tried to tap into the brief funk metal craze of the early 1990s. The group released two albums on Metal Blade, The Confident Rat in 1991 and Positively Shocking in 1992. Neither achieved notable commercial traction. They did secure some stage opportunities, such as opening the Dynamo Festival in Holland and supporting funk-thrashers Mordred on a German tour. By 1993 vocalist Neil Duthie, guitarists Marcus Stone and Steve John, bassist Stef Brooks, and drummer Niki Beric had disbanded with scant results to show for their work.
