Biography
Hailing from Richmond, Virginia, Iron Reagan stand among the rare acts equipped with the proper lineage to authentically revive crossover thrash's gritty essence, even as countless others have attempted the same feat. The band formed in 2012 around singer Tony Foresh of Municipal Waste, guitarists Phil Hall from Cannabis Corpse and Mark Bronzino of A.N.S., bassist Paul Burnette out of Darkest Hour, and drummer Ryan Parrish also of Darkest Hour, intent on restoring one of heavy metal's neglected traditions. Their initial full-length Worse Than Dead surfaced in 2013 and introduced the group's sound to a wider audience. Iron Reagan inked a deal with Relapse Records in 2014 and issued their second album The Tyranny of Will as their first release on the label later that same year. Paul Burnette exited during 2014, prompting the arrival of replacement bassist Rob Skotis of Hellbear. The third album Crossover Ministry followed in 2017 and preceded a 2018 split LP with Arizona-based death metal unit Gatecreeper along with the EP Dark Days Ahead.
