Ivan

Emerging as a Latin pop balladeer, Iván secured a contract with Machete Music in 2007 after his stint on the Univision program Objetivo Fama. He entered the world as Iván Oswaldo López in Mexico City on March 16, 1985, and experienced multiple relocations alongside his family before they established roots in Los Angeles, California, during 1992 and later in Corona, California, by 1999. Prior to his breakthrough, Iván made appearances on various programs such as Cuánto Cuesta el Show Infantil, Quiero Ser una Estrella, Sueños de Fama, and Cante y Gane; his prominence grew when he placed as a finalist during the fourth season of Objetivo Fama, leading to his involvement in El Fama Tour throughout Puerto Rico. Following that achievement, he cut his first record, La Voz, which came out via Machete Music—an imprint under Universal Music Group—in October 2007. The album featured covers of tracks originally performed by his role models José José, Juan Gabriel, Emmanuel, Pepe Aguilar, and Marco Antonio Solís; it yielded the successful track "Si Me Dejas Ahora," a José José original, and reached the fifth position on Billboard's Latin Pop Albums ranking.
