A fresh undertaking called Jack Grisham and the Life Undone unites Jack Grisham with Lars Triesch. Long recognized as the frontman of TSOL and subsequently The Joykiller, Grisham has sustained activity across more than four decades in literature, film work, and above all independent music, generating over 70 million streams and completing in excess of 2,000 live shows while remaining a steady presence inside and outside the American punk scene. Triesch, who surfaced from the German ’90s punk and hardcore milieu before shifting to indie sounds through his band Profession Reporter, has for the last 15 years operated a Berlin shop devoted to vintage furniture and design. Their connection formed through Photographer Edward Colver, a mutual contact who brought them together at the Punk Rock Museum; conversations there produced the offhand proposal that they record an album. Jack maintains he did not initiate the notion, having lately stepped back once more from the field Hunter S. Thompson labeled “...a business that is a cruel and shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves and pimps run free, and good men die like dogs.” Guitarist Trevor Lucca, known for his stage appearances with Dick Dale and T.S.O.L., joined the effort, which proceeded under the production direction of Kurt Ebelhäuser and Michel Wern. Further vocal and keyboard takes were completed in Los Angeles at Kitten Robot Studios with Paul Roessler engineering. Enjoy.
