Biography
British-born singer/songwriter James Maddock, now residing in New York City, crafts literate and heartfelt music rooted in folk and Americana traditions. Born in Leicester, England in 1962, he played in the bands Fire Next Time and Wood prior to pursuing work as a solo artist. Following his relocation to New York City in 2003, he issued the EP Strategies for Life in 2007. His first full-length studio album, Sunrise on Avenue C, appeared in 2009. In 2010 Maddock delivered the live album Live at the Rockwood Music Hall, then returned the next year with the studio release Wake Up and Dream. His fourth proper studio album, Another Life, came out in 2013.
