Liverpudlian singer-songwriter Jamie Webster channels working-class experiences into folk-infused rock and roll, narrating ordinary routines in his thick regional accent. A dedicated supporter of Liverpool Football Club since childhood, Webster once dreamed of turning professional on the pitch, yet by his early teens he accepted his limitations and redirected his energy toward music instead. He joined a neighborhood group at fifteen, but the band made little headway and eventually disbanded. Picking up an acoustic guitar, he began performing cover versions in pubs once his workday ended, later scheduling appearances on match days for crowds of supporters and inserting club anthems such as “You’ll Never Walk Alone.” Original compositions emerged during this period, shaped by Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Paul Weller, Oasis, Kings of Leon, and Liverpool acts including the Beatles, Shack, and Cast. His breakthrough arrived when he adapted the chant “Allez, Allez, Allez” to the melody of a little-known 1980s Italo disco recording; the track spread rapidly online and led to a performance before 60,000 Liverpool followers in Madrid ahead of an away fixture. That visibility, combined with an existing sports audience, opened the door to a full-time recording path. Teaming with local producer Rich Turvey, Webster reworked his material for a complete ensemble and captured the results at Parr Street Studios. The first original single, 2019’s “Weekend in Paradise,” gained quick traction and surpassed 100,000 streams. Additional well-received tracks paved the way for the 2020 debut album We Get By. The following year saw the arrival of Live from Parr Street Studios along with the singles “Davey Kane,” “Going Out,” and “Days Unknown,” all of which later featured on the sophomore studio album Moments, produced by Dave Eringa.
