An indie rock trio originating in Swansea, Wales, Trampolene took their name from a Julian Cope song. Jack Jones supplied lead vocals and guitar while bassist Wayne Thomas and drummer Mr. Williams added backing vocals; the group issued their debut single, "You Do Nothing for Me," on Mi7 Records in August 2013. Live performances helped establish their reputation for raucous, swaggering dance-rock as a sequence of EPs began appearing, starting with Pocket Album One in April 2014. By the October 2015 arrival of Pocket Album Three the band had already supported the Buzzcocks, shifted operations to London, England, and installed Rob Steele on drums in place of Williams. Jones opened the Libertines' arena tour with his poetry in 2016 and also played guitar for Pete Doherty on dates throughout the U.K., France, and South America; Pocket Album Five followed that November. Their sixth EP, Beautiful Pain, appeared in July 2017. Recorded at Ray Davies' Konk Studios, the band's first full-length release, Swansea to Hornsey, came out on Mi7 in October 2017 and included recited poems by Jones. Trampolene then toured the U.K. in support of Liam Gallagher that December.
