Biography
By the time teen pop star Jennifer Love Hewitt joined the cast of Fox TV’s hit series Party of Five in 1995, she had already built a résumé that included multiple television roles, among them a stint on Kids Incorporated, as well as a Japanese LP issued in 1992. That same year marked her American recording debut when Atlantic Records released her album Let’s Go Bang. One year afterward came her self-titled follow-up, while she simultaneously supplied two tracks for the soundtrack of House Arrest and appeared in the film itself. Hewitt later took leading parts in the hit thrillers I Know What You Did Last Summer and its sequel I Still Know What You Did Last Summer, the latter featuring her song “How Do I Deal” on its soundtrack. In 2002 she signed with Jive Records, the label then home to Britney Spears and Aaron Carter, and in September of that year delivered her third solo effort, BareNaked, produced by Meredith Brooks.
