Biography
Serving as the lead artist on Nashville's Blue Diamond Records roster is Jill King. Her early years in Arab, AL, saw her start performing vocals in church services when she turned three, drawing inspiration from classic performers including Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, and Hank Williams. Relocating to Nashville during 1992 enabled her to pursue an English degree at Vanderbilt University, which preceded her 1997 appointment as a staff songwriter at Gate to Gate Publishing. Following the creation of more than 200 compositions, her debut recording Jillbilly came out in 2002.
