Biography
During her upbringing in North Carolina and Ohio, Danielle Peck performed with bar bands while also singing in the local church choir, an appropriate background for the songwriter whose first single, "I Don't," cheekily mixed religion with slow-burn honky tonk. Although the 2005 release of "I Don't" introduced Peck on the Big Machine/Show Dog Nashville label, she had already spent several years in the city struggling for attention, supporting herself as a waitress, and eventually obtaining a songwriting deal. That arrangement secured her contract with Big Machine/Show Dog plus promotional support for the single and paved the way for the 2006 arrival of her full-length debut, Danielle Peck.
