Joe Alexander Shepherd

Hailing from York, England, Joe Alexander Shepherd trained at Paul McCartney’s acclaimed Academy of Music in Liverpool and now works as a composer and pianist whose minimalist contemporary-classical output recalls Ludovico Einaudi, Michael Nyman, and Dustin O’Halloran. He began writing music at fifteen and, while rooted in classical technique, draws additional inspiration from pop and electronic styles by threading textural synths into his pieces. In 2018 Shepherd joined the roster of Nettwerk Music Group and issued his debut album, Time.
