Biography
Recognized as the "father of Swedish music" for pioneering instrumental and choral compositions that stood alongside their German and Italian counterparts, Roman created no fewer than 400 pieces across nearly every instrumental and vocal genre. Traces of Handel appear throughout his output. He remains best known for the orchestral suite Drottningholmsmusiquen, composed in 1744.
