Biography
John Norum, the guitarist central to Europe's Countdown era, exited the group right before global breakthrough struck, driven by objections to its mounting commercial direction. Assembling a solo project with vocalist Goran Edman, drummer Peter Hermansson, and bassist Marcel Jacob, he delivered Total Control in 1987. The next year brought the live album Live in Stockholm, a partnership with Don Dokken, and his follow-up studio release, Face the Truth, issued in 1992.
