Juniore

Anna Jean fronts Juniore, a Paris quartet operating in the French indie pop sphere. Prior to the group's formation in 2013, she had worked with Samy Osta in the indie folk duo Domingo, which issued a lone LP in 2008. Her enigmatic and seductive delivery next drew her into guest appearances across the city's electro circles, lending vocals to recordings by Jackson & His Computerband and Bot'Ox. Rejoining Osta, she launched Juniore as a duo that later grew into a four-piece. The band issued its first 7" single, "Christine" b/w "Dans le Noir," in late 2013 on the Enterprise label in Paris, its sound fusing present-day indie pop with echoes of retro French pop, dark twangy surf guitar, and a vocal approach situated between Cat Power and Françoise Hardy. An album produced by Osta was scheduled for summer 2014.
