Biography
Formed toward the end of the 1990s, the French rock group Kaolin features Guillaume Cantillon on vocals and bass, Julien Cantillon on guitar and vocals, Ludwig Martins on guitar and vocals, and Olivier Valty on drums. The band issued its debut single, the independently produced and distributed “Purs Moments,” in 1998 before delivering the EP Bienvenue Dans Les Criques two years later. A recording contract secured in 2002 finally allowed the release of the group’s first album, Allez, while the well-reviewed follow-up De Retour Dans Nos Criques appeared in 2004. Based in Montluçon, Auvergne, the musicians put out Mélanger Les Couleurs in 2006.
