Biography
British vocalist Kiera Weathers first entered the spotlight in 2015 as a contestant on the twelfth season of the U.K. edition of The X Factor. Her commanding performances on the program drew immediate notice, leading her to launch solo tours across the U.K. and Europe while amassing millions of streams for both her energetic reinterpretations of existing hits and her original material.
Weathers entered the world in 1997 and spent her formative years in St. Helens, Merseyside, England, where she took a job behind a bar and pursued studies in hair and beauty at St. Helens College. During her X Factor run she performed Ella Eyre’s take on Jermaine Stewart’s 1986 single “We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off” and received guidance from mentor Rita Ora before placing eleventh overall. March 2017 saw the arrival of her first commercial release, “You Gotta Be,” a version of Des’ree’s 1995 hit, followed that November by the single “Talk to Me.” Subsequent work centered on her debut EP, which surfaced in 2022 with the track “Now or Never,” a song that placed greater emphasis on her own writing and blended upbeat pop with Afrobeat accents.
