Laura Bell Bundy

Laura Bell Bundy, born April 10, 1981, in Lexington, Kentucky, divides her efforts as an actress and singer between Broadway productions and country music in Nashville. Dance first captured her interest during childhood, prompting an entry into regional theater at age nine. She took the lead in the off-Broadway show Ruthless! The Musical prior to her Broadway bow in Hairspray in 2002. Additional Broadway work followed when she headlined Legally Blonde: The Musical in both 2007 and 2008. Film credits include The Adventures of Huck Finn (1993), Life with Mikey (1993), and Jumanji (1995), while television appearances encompass The Guiding Light, Veronica Mars, Happy Hour, Modern Men, Cold Case, and Strangers with Candy. Her first album, Longing for a Place Already Gone, arrived in 2007; after inking a contract with Mercury Records Nashville, she issued the follow-up Achin' and Shakin' in 2010.
