Biography
Les Claypool generally channels his creativity into expansive and unconventional directions, having expanded perceptions and stretched the boundaries of bass playing through outfits such as Primus and the Fearless Flying Frog Brigade. Les Claypool's Duo De Twang instead shows the bassist pursuing a leaner, more minimal direction in partnership with guitarist Bryan Kehoe, who first gained notice through his contributions to the Bay area weirdos M.I.R.V. The duo aims to inject extra twang into audiences via their own unconventional spin on bluegrass and country, launching the effort with Four Foot Shack, a blend of covers and originals that surfaced on ATO Records in 2014.
