Low Millions

Originating in Los Angeles, the alternative pop/rock group Low Millions comprises vocalist and guitarist Adam Cohen alongside guitarist Michael Chaves, bassist Jorgen Carlsson, and drummer Eric Eldenius. Prior to assembling the band, Cohen—who is the son of renowned singer/songwriter Leonard Cohen—issued a self-titled solo album in 1998. He simultaneously pursued an independent path as a French-language artist, issuing Melancolista in 2004. Through contacts in the Los Angeles music community, Cohen linked up with Chaves, who was then serving as guitarist for John Mayer, plus the session players Carlsson and Eldenius. The outfit’s first full-length release, Ex-Girlfriends, appeared in late 2004 on Manhattan Records and generated two minor hits, “Eleanor” and “Statue.”
