MALIN

Born Malin Reitan on August 8, 1995, in Trondheim, Norway, the singer first drew widespread attention through her victory at the 2005 Melodi Grand Prix Junior contest. That triumph led directly to her appearance at the 2005 Junior Eurovision Song Contest, where she placed third with the song “Sommer og Skolefri.” Capitalizing on the exposure, she issued her debut album, Malin På Månen, the next year; the release climbed into the Norwegian Top Ten. Before 2006 ended she followed with the seasonal collection Malin's Jul, which peaked at number 12. Her third album, Pang, appeared in 2008 and marked her strongest commercial showing to date, entering the Top Five and remaining on the chart for half a year.
