Biography
Emerging from Los Angeles, California, Marriages took shape in 2011 as a trio devoted to moody, experimental rock. Singer/guitarist Emma Ruth Rundle (Nocturnes) and bassist Greg Burns, both members of the post-rock ensemble Red Sparowes, launched the project with drummer Andrew Clinco rounding out the lineup. Their approach fuses atmospheric textures with heavy, dark rock, yielding a debut release in 2012: the six-song EP Kitsune on the Sargent House label. After Rundle issued a solo recording in 2014, the group reconvened to issue its first full-length album, Salome, in early 2015.
