Biography
In 2001 the Lyon-based French rock outfit Mauss formed under the direction of singer-songwriter Fabrice Mauss. Its lineup consists of Mauss on vocals and guitar, Yannick on guitar, Christophe on bass, and Mickaël on drums. The group issued its first full-length album, L'Année du Chien, through Mercury Records in 2005. Although the record achieved only modest commercial results, it generated the singles “Cracher Mes Nerfs (L’Amour Est un Combat),” “Qu’importe,” and “Te Quiero.” The follow-up, Aux Dernières Nouvelles, appeared in 2007 and performed more strongly, reaching number 157 on the French albums chart while producing the Top 40 duet “Je Recherche” with Charlie as well as the single “À 20 Ans.”
