Mexican trio Mint Field craft ethereal dream pop that draws from Krautrock and ambient traditions, relying on fuzzy, swirling guitars alongside heavenly vocals to convey intense sorrow and longing. Their expansive, atmospheric tracks, delivered exclusively in Spanish, avoid traditional structures yet remain warm and approachable. The group launched their full-length career with the dreamy psych-gaze of 2018's Pasar de las Luces before changing personnel and issuing the rougher yet more rhythmically focused Sentimiento Mundial in 2020. Their dreamy, atmospheric third album, Aprender a Ser, surfaced in 2023.

Vocalist/guitarist Estrella del Sol, daughter of Nortec Collective member Bostich, and drummer/synthesizer player Amor Amezcua established Mint Field. The pair came together in Tijuana in 2014 while both were still teenagers. Bassist Andrés Corella assisted them on the 2015 debut EP Primeras Salidas, though the members later acknowledged uncertainty about their direction at that stage. Over the following years Mint Field's playing and songwriting advanced rapidly as they toured widely across Mexico and the United States. In 2017 they relocated to Mexico City, where Andrea Villalón joined as live bassist. The band headed to Detroit to cut their first album with producer Chris Koltay, and Innovative Leisure released Pasar de las Luces in February 2018.

Following numerous performances throughout North America and Europe, Mint Field put out the EP Mientras Esperas in 2019. By 2020 the lineup featured del Sol, bassist Sebastian Neyra, and drummer Callum Brown. The group tracked their second album at Wilton Way Studios in London with producer Syd Kemp, receiving additional contributions from Brown, both members of Ulrika Spacek, plus guests Cathy Lucas of Vanishing Twin and Nathan Pigott. Felte issued Sentimiento Mundial in September 2020. The live release Levitation Sessions arrived in 2022, and the band's third studio album, the more synth-based, immersive Aprender a Ser, came out in 2023.
