Biography
Hailing from Queens, Organized Konfusion operates as a hip-hop duo renowned for its bold, introspective strain of the genre. Neighborhood friends Prince Poetry and Pharoahe Monch, who first performed rhymes together as Simply 2 Positive, assembled the act and connected with producer Paul C, landing a contract with Hollywood Records that yielded their self-titled debut album in 1991. The pair resurfaced three years afterward on Stress: The Extinction Agenda, which closed out their association with the company. They then transferred to Priority, an imprint more attuned to rap, for the 1997 release The Equinox, a song cycle that traces the experiences of two inner-city teens.
