Biography
In 2011 the American indie folk duo Ormonde assembled around singer/songwriters Anna Lynne Williams (Lotte Kestner, Trespassers William) and Robert Gomez. Following the end of a short romance, the pair headed to the small town of Marfa, Texas, where they composed and tracked the ten songs that became their Hometapes debut. That album, Machine, delivers a lush, intimate set of candid and exposed reflections on love both gained and relinquished while mirroring the distinct musical influences of each artist—St. Vincent, Emmit Rhodes, Midlake, and Blonde Redhead. It appeared in the summer of 2012.
