Biography
Hailing from Mexico, Pepe Mogt first entered the techno-pop realm through his membership in Artefakto. A traditional Mexican tune played by a sinaloense ensemble at a nuptial celebration sparked his interest in blending norteño rhythms with electronic elements, prompting the DJ and producer to team up with Melo Ruiz and orthodontist/DJ Ramón Amor Amezcua, better known as Bostich, to launch the project Fussible. Their 1999 album Fono, issued via Opción Sonica, introduced the nor-tec genre, which gained traction through the track "Polaris." This endeavor laid the foundation for the multicultural fusion project known as Nortec Collective.
