Pete Holmes

Despite his polished appearance, Pete Holmes frequently delivers material with a blunt edge, launching his career on the Los Angeles standup scene before becoming a familiar face on panel programs including VH1's Best Week Ever and Comedy Central's Premium Blend. He also wrote and voiced the E*Trade baby for a run of popular television commercials, then released his first comedy album, Impregnated with Wonder, in 2011. The Pete Holmes Show debuted on TBS in 2012; the following year he issued Nice Try, the Devil, his initial Comedy Central Records release. Although the TBS series ended in 2014, Holmes remained active, penning episodes for Outsourced and I Hate My Teenage Daughter, supplying cartoons to The New Yorker, and maintaining a standup touring schedule. He recorded the HBO special Faces & Sounds in 2016, and Comedy Dynamics issued it as an album the next year.
