Biography
Born in Montana, this keyboardist and composer earned a Leonard Bernstein scholarship to pursue music studies at Harvard, after which he honed his skills performing on the blues circuit in San Francisco. His broad skill set resulted in contributions to more than eighty recordings by various artists. Among those he accompanied on tour were Peter Gabriel, John Hiatt, Kenny Rogers, and the Doobie Brothers. After inking a deal with Windham Hill in 1985, he channeled his varied experiences into multiple solo releases highlighting his precise keyboard proficiency, range of musical inspirations, and vibrant approach to composition.
