Biography
In 2003 the French pop trio Prototypes assembled in Paris. Two former members of Bosco—bass and synth player Stéphane Bodin and guitarist François Marché—joined forces with vocalist Isabelle Le Doussal, who performed at the time under the name Bubble Star, while Mitch Pires contributed drums. Their debut LP, Tout le Monde Cherche Quelque Chose, appeared on Barclay in 2004, followed in 2006 by Mutants Mediatiques on Universal. The band’s exuberant new wave/punk/pop approach drew the attention of Minty Fresh in the U.S., prompting the label to issue Prototypes stateside in June 2006 as a 14-track anthology drawn from the group’s two earlier French releases.
