Puppetmastaz

Puppetmastaz emerged from Germany as an all-puppet hip-hop ensemble fronted by the mole Mr. Maloke, whose supporting cast features the bird Tango Troublemaker together with Frogga the frog and Midi Mighty Moe the fly. Human producers and puppeteers operating behind the scenes include N1tro, Patric Catani, Bomb 20, and Mocky, and the collective first presented its live show in 1999 before issuing the debut EP Humans Get All the Credits in 2002. That same year also brought the Pet Sound EP, followed in 2003 by both the Zoology EP and the group's first full-length album, Creature Funk. The 2004 release Prosettis' Disco Balls, a remix collection steered by resident dragon Ducci Prosetti, preceded the 2005 album Creature Shock Radio. In 2007 the group issued the LP Clones Live in Berlin along with its cover of John Lennon's "Give Peace a Chance," directing the proceeds to Amnesty International. Mocky departed for a solo career at the time of the 2008 album The Takeover, an event that in turn prompted the 2009 release The Breakup. The band toured China throughout 2010 before returning with the 2012 albums Revolve and Step Up! and the 2016 album Keep Yo Animal.
