Rajaton

Rajaton originated in Helsinki, Finland, during 1997 as a six-member a cappella ensemble whose name translates as “boundless.” The lineup features sopranos Essi Wuorela and Virpi Moskari, alto Soila Sariola, tenor Hannu Lepola, baritone Ahti Paunu, and bass Jussi Chydenius. The singers have appeared before sizable crowds throughout Europe, most frequently within Finland itself. Their debut recording, Nova, arrived in 2000, and eight further projects—both albums and DVD releases—followed across the subsequent decade. Issued in October 2007, the album Maa proved another commercial success by entering the Top Ten on the Finland album charts.
