Ralf Illenberger

A German guitarist whose initial inspirations came from the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, Illenberger largely developed his technique by studying recordings, later expanding his influences to include Leo Kottke, J.S. Bach, and Keith Jarrett. He first sharpened his abilities in regional dance ensembles, then moved on to solo concert appearances and went on to issue seven albums throughout Europe prior to securing a contract with Narada Records in the U.S. Thoughtfully combining pop and jazz elements, his work ranks him among the stronger adult-alternative instrumentalists currently available.
