Biography
Around the producer Marc Weiser and the design artist Lillevän, the minimal electronics duo Rechenzentrum came together in Berlin. Weiser, who also works as a DJ and vocalist, put together the Berlin club night Maria am Ostbahnhof along with the festival Club Transmediale. Lillevän had previously collaborated with figures such as Christine Hill and Blixa Bargeld prior to joining forces with Weiser to serve as the visual component of Rechenzentrum. After remixing tracks by Tarwater, Laub, and Elektronauten, the duo issued their self-titled debut on Kitty-Yo in 2000. Director's Cut appeared in 2003. Weiser has recorded separately as Le Hammond Inferno for Bungalow.
