Rica Amabis, a composer and producer, has revitalized Brazil's samba heritage through his innovative work. Having crafted tracks for artists including SP Funk, Otto, Los Sea Dux, Andrea Marquee, Macao Zumbi, and Walter Franco, he unveiled Sambadelic in 2000—an album of his electronics-meets-samba compositions. His early exposure to jazz, reggae, and punk rock shaped his musical outlook, prompting studies in sound engineering in New York during the initial years of the 1990s.
