During the 1970s, he formed an integral part of Haitian touring ensembles and contributed distinctive keyboard elements to soukous tracks by Loketo alongside other prominent Zairian groups. Throughout the Antilles, Rubinel achieved prominence as a cadence performer in the 1970s before becoming a leading zouk figure from the 1980s onward. Additionally, he sparked the development of Ethnikolor, recognized as Martinique's most thrilling carnival innovation in recent years.
