Rytmihäiriö

Rytmihäiriö originated in Helsinki, Finland, as a thrash and death metal group whose name means “arrhythmia” in English, coming together in 1988. Numerous personnel shifts marked their early years, including a brief disbandment in 1992. Among Spinefarm’s initial signings in 1990, the band issued two EPs ahead of their first full-length, Surman Siipien Havinaa, which appeared in 1991. Another split followed in 1992 and closed that opening chapter. Six years later they resumed activity, returning in 1998 and completing a new demo by 2000. Additional EPs paved the way for renewed album releases beginning with Saatana On Herra in 2005. Seitsemän Surman Siunausliito arrived the following year, while 2007 brought several more split releases. In 2008 the lineup of Unto Helo on vocals, Janne Perttilä on guitars, Antti Kiiski on bass, and Otto Luotonen on drums produced the fourth album Sarvet, Sorkat, Salatieteet, which reached the Finnish Top Ten.
