Salim Nourallah

Hailing from Dallas, Texas, Salim Nourallah works as both songwriter and vocalist, producing material that stretches from quiet ballads to high-energy rave-up rock. Public notice first reached him in 2001 when he issued two sharply contrasting albums: Nourallah Brothers, a collection of intelligent and atmospheric pop songs written and recorded with his brother Faris Nourallah, and Self-Improvement?, the uptempo power pop-styled debut from his other band, the Happiness Factor. He also initiated a solo career in 2003 by issuing the EP A Way to Your Heart, after which the full-length solo album Polaroid appeared in 2004. Beautiful Noise arrived a year later in 2005 on the German indie label Tapete Records, which went on to release Snowing in My Heart in 2007 and Constellation in 2009. In 2009 he also completed a fourth Tapete album, Hit Parade, though the project remained unreleased until early 2012.
