Biography
Having spent his early years in California’s Bay Area, Shabazz later settled in Atlanta and began his recording career by issuing the album Baysickinstinct. Beats on the project were supplied by Studio Ton, counted among the Bay Area’s most active producers of the 1990s after collaborations with E-40, B-Legit, Celly Cel, Kurupt, and Snoop Dogg. The release further showcases Shabazz’s reflective writing and assured vocal delivery, qualities that helped him stand out among the numerous newcomers attempting to gain a foothold in the rap scene.
