Sianvar

Formed in 2013 as a post-hardcore ensemble drawing members from acts such as Hail the Sun, Dance Gavin Dance, Stolas, and A Lot Like Birds, Sianvar ("sea-en-var") entered the scene that year. Vocalist Donovan Melero, guitarists Will Swan and Sergio Medina, drummer Joseph Arrington, and bassist Michael Littlefield comprised the five-piece group. Early in 2014, the outfit issued a self-titled EP via Blue Swan Records, the imprint founded by Swan, and spent the remainder of the year performing alongside several of their prior projects. Bassist Michael Littlefield departed Sianvar during 2015, with Michael Franzino stepping in as his successor. Franzino contributed to the group's first full-length release, Stay Lost, which came out in 2016 and included the tracks "Omniphobia" and "Psychosis Succumbing" as singles; it entered the Billboard Top Independent Albums chart at position number 23.
