Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor

Formed in Ypsilanti, Michigan as SikSik Nation, the trio later known as Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor first embraced a harder blues-rock approach. Guitarist and vocalist Sean Morrow teamed with bass player Eric Oppitz and drummer Rick Sawoscinski for the project. Their initial release, Eight Styles to the Unholy, came out in 2008 while the group still used the SikSik Nation name. Soon after, they chose to pursue a darker, more atmospheric direction by softening their blues with looser garage and psych textures. Those experiments led to a name change and the 2009 arrival of their self-titled debut album as Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor.
