Biography
Swedish singer/songwriter Sofia Talvik left the small West Coast island where she was born and settled in Stockholm at 18 to launch her music career. Once her sparse debut EP appeared, she started composing her first full-length album and rehearsed the material repeatedly with her band, the Tallboys. Captured in just under 40 hours of essentially live studio sessions, the resulting Blue Moon surfaced in 2005 and drew enthusiastic notices across her native Sweden. In 2007 Talvik issued Street of Dreams on her independent Makaki Music label; the album contained the single “It’s Just Love,” a duet with Suede guitarist Bernard Butler.
