Biography
The German rap duo Spezializtz, consisting of Berlin natives Harris (born Oliver Harris) and Dean Dawson, launched their recording career in 1998 with the Columbia/Sony release G.B.Z. Oholika. Three singles drawn from that debut—"Babsiflowa," "Afrokalypse," and "Kennst' Ja"—quickly established the pair as an emerging presence on the German rap scene. After completing a tour through Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, Spezializtz returned in 2000 with G.B.Z. Oholika II, whose standout track "T.W.I.N.L.K. (Tut, Was Ihr Nicht Lassen Könnt)" became the duo’s first charting single and their most successful release to date. Bolstered by the follow-up single "Wollt Ihr...?!," the album itself entered the German albums chart and reached a peak of number 30. Seven years elapsed before the group delivered G.B.Z. Oholika III in 2007; the project arrived alongside the singles "GBGBGBZ," "Big Babbaz," and "Kettenreaktion" and was supported by a tour that also featured Illo and Snaga & Pillath.
