Spring

In 1993 the collective Spring assembled in Paris, immersing themselves in poetry, romanticism, and dreamy pop melodies that eventually shaped the group’s signature blissful dance sound. Following the appearance of several albums after their inception—Independence in 1994, Chuck It Up in 1998, and Spring & Friends in 1998—European critics extended considerable acclaim to the band, an endorsement that also elicited admiration from fellow acts such as Saint Etienne, Stereolab, and Pulp. March Records released The Last Goodbye during April 1999.
