Biography
Behind the intricate art rock of Tap Tap stands its enigmatic creator, Thomas Sanders. A rotating group of musicians from Reading, England, that includes Paul Jones, Jonny Ronette, Peter Hefferan, and Pete Dog, performed on the act’s debut album Lanzafame. Upon the record’s arrival in summer 2006, prominent bloggers likened the music to that of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, the Arcade Fire, and Wolf Parade, yet the band registered little reaction. Sanders kept performing alongside Pete and the Pirates, a reliable presence in the London indie rock community shaped by Stolen Recordings.
