Tele

The indie rock outfit Tele came together in Freiburg, Germany, at the turn of the millennium. After relocating their operations to Berlin, the group put out its debut album Tausend und ein Verdacht on its own in 2000. Tapete, an independent label, soon stepped in with a deal that brought a reissue of that record along with the band’s self-titled 2003 EP. By then Tele’s growing profile had drawn interest from Universal, which added the group to its roster shortly afterward. The 2004 full-length Wovon Sollen Wir Leben appeared next, with Wir Brauchen Nichts arriving in 2007. In 2006 the band secured a prominent touring opportunity, performing multiple dates across Subsaharan Africa under the auspices of the Goethe Institute. Following a stretch of extensive road work, Tele issued its fourth album, Jedes Tier, in 2009.
